Potentially Large Identity Theft data Breach at Mercy

According to the Baltimore Sun Baltimore police are looking into a security data breach at the Mercy Medical Center which may affect a large number of patient’s records at that facility.

Potentially Large Identity Theft data Breach at Mercy

Mercy Medical Center has sent an undisclosed number of letters to affected patients Monday.

Those who receive letters or are concerned that their data may have been breached can contact the Maryland states attorney generals office.

The state passed a law only last year that requires businesses to notify individuals who have had their personally identifiable information exposed to breach or theft.
